Bill of lading container count validation

The problem
For every BL invoiced, container counts had to be checked against port authority data. No integration was possible, and the gap surfaced only at invoicing, which created a recurring bottleneck.
What we built
The automation takes the BL numbers to validate, searches the port authority's website for each one, and approves matching BLs for invoicing.
Results
- 5–10 minutes per BL down to under 30 seconds
- Validation done well ahead of invoicing
- Mismatches flagged before payment, not during audit
How we'd build it today
A computer-use agent now copes with changes to the port authority portal and assembles the evidence pack for any disputed BL.
