The problem
Tracking numbers, quantities and fixed parameters had to be entered for each work order in Sage. Supervisors logged in and navigated to every work order by hand, taking 3–4 hours a day between them.
What we built
The production team keeps its updates in simple Excel files in a shared location. The automation picks them up and makes the updates in Sage.
Results
- 85% less data-entry time, saving 80 hours a month
- 3–4 hours a day down to under 30 minutes
- Work orders closed on time for cost tracking
