Supplier replication from SAP Ariba to Sage

The problem
Suppliers register in SAP Ariba, but Sage is the primary ERP, so every supplier has to be replicated. Non-standard fields and duplicate checks ruled out a direct integration, and each record took 20–30 minutes by hand.
What we built
An automation polls Ariba for newly updated suppliers, cross-checks other non-Sage systems and asks a business user to confirm, then creates or updates the supplier in Sage.
Results
- 20–30 minutes per supplier down to 2–3 minutes
- Banking and tax identifiers recorded exactly as submitted
- Business users verify only when notified
